Dolores "Dee" Ellen Norris, 89, Moline, passed away on February 10, 2018 at home. Funeral services are 2:30 PM Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 1PM until service time. Memorials may be made to the Intracranial Hypertension Research Foundation. Dee was born on January 25, 1929 in Rock Island, the youngest of six children born to Carl and Mabel (Weitz) Bartell. She was united in marriage to Charles R. Norris, also of Rock Island, on September 6, 1947. He died November 20, 2012. In earlier years, Dee worked at the former Licorice Factory, Servus Rubber Co, in Rock Island, the Rock Island Post office and then for over 20 years at Mallardtone in Moline. After retirement, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends and was always ready to take a "Road Trip" She loved family events and seeing all her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved music and dancing and was always the life of the party. Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl (Alan) Wright, Silvis and Pamela (Barry) Deditch, Oroville, CA, grandchildren, Stacey Wright, Michael Wright, Joel Wright, Serena Moore, Crystal Bessmer, Jeremy Fox, 15 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years., Chuck, her parents, siblings, Geraldine Taylor, Donald Bartell, Glen Bartell Gilbert Bartell, infant sister, Dorothy Bartell and infant granddaughter Dawn Michele Wright. We will miss your spunk and great sense of humor Mom. Rest in peace, your work is done.
