Memorial services for Donald E. DeBlaey, 77, formerly of Rapids City, are 10:30 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Visitation is 4:00-7:00PM Friday, January 15, 2010 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Don died Christmas Day in Winter Haven, FL. His body has been cremated and intered in St. Matthew's Columbarium, Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Development Department Good Shepherd Hospice 105 Arneson Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823 He was born June 23, 1932 in East Moline, the son of Cyriel and Regina DeBlaey. He married Patricia Emery on February 19, 1955 in Columbus, GA. Don and his twin brother, Bob owned and operated DeBlaey Brothers TV and later Illowa Service in East Moline. He served in the US Army.
