Donald C. DeDecker, 88, East Moline, died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Funeral services are 1:30 PM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, where he was a member. Don was born on March 3, 1927 in Atkinson, IL, the son of Charles and Mary (Longeville) DeDecker. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Cabot and the USS San Francisco. He married Mary Ann Heydeman on October 30, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Don had served on the board of directors and was past president of Willow Springs, East Moline. He was a member of the UAW Local Retirees, CYO, Quad Cities and enjoyed his My Navy Division "A" Reunions. He enjoyed collecting motion picture equipment and radio control model airplanes. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, children; Lynette (Jerry) Livadas, Syracuse, NY, Randall DeDecker, Silvis, Craig (Patricia) DeDecker, Fredricksburg, VA, Robert DeDecker, East Moline, Michelle (Michael) Curry, Milton, eight grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his sister, Elsie Harris, Colona.
