Funeral services for Donald Eddleman, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Eddleman died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Don was born August 27, 1928, in Moline, the son of Ralph and Mary Parmley Eddleman. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Geraldine Palmer April 24, 1954, at St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church, Louisville, KY. He had worked at John Deere Spreader Works, Moline, and retired from John Deere Parts Distribution Center, Milan, IL, in 1987. Don was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geraldine Eddleman, East Moline; daughters, Laurie Eddleman, La Crescenta, CA, and Sherry (Mark) Pickett, Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren, Katelynn, Seth, and Alex Pickett; sister, Ruth McKenzie, East Moline; brother, John (Ann) Eddleman, East Moline; sister-in-law, Shirley Eddleman, East Moline.
