Funeral services for Donald 'Dhock" Hockaday, 41, of Moline, IL, will be 7:00 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL.Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mr. Hockaday died Saturday, December 12, 2015, at UnityPoint, Moline. Don was born June 12, 1974, in Moline, IL, the son of Alan "Homer" Honn and Janie Hockaday. He worked as a machine operator for Sivyer Steel, Bettendorf, IA. Don loved sports, playing baseball and cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was a great son, father, and friend. Survivors include his daughter, Abigail Lauren Hockaday, Moline and her mother, Amber Kisner, Moline; his parents of Moline; sister, Cortney Hockaday, Moline; niece Skyler Smith, East Moline; girlfriend, Carrie DeClerck Holtam and her daughters, Courtney and Kaylie Holtam, of Moline; special friend, Brenda Newman; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Betty Hockaday and cousin B.J. Ragsdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
