Donald "Donnie" Keegan, 55, of East Moline, IL, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 4, 2005 after suffering over a year with cancer. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday at New Life Fellowship Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Mr. Keegan died at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Donnie was born February 1, 1950 in East Moline, IL, the son of Edward and Doris (Douger) Keegan. He had worked as a welder at the former JI Case Plant, East Moline, IL and recently had worked at Short Hills Country Club in the Maintenance Dept for the golf course. Donnie loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing bingo and talking with friends and family. He was the type of person that would do anything he could to help people in need. Donnie loved spending time with his soul mate, Betty Parr. Survivors include: daughter, Kerry Keegan of Reynolds, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Don Keegan, Dan and Tammy Keegan of Moline, IL, Dennis and Amy Keegan of Silvis, IL; father, Edward Keegan of East Moline, IL; soul mate, Betty Parr of East Moline, IL; stepdaughter, Sandra Squid of Kingsport, TN; stepson and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Cindy Parr of East Moline, IL; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his dog "Toby". He is preceded in death by his mother and stepdaughter, Donna Evert.
