Donald Kinchner, 92, East Moline, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services are 1:45 PM Wednesday at Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, IA, with military honors. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Don was born on November 30, 1922 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Edmund and Elizabeth Souhroda Kinchner. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from International Harvester Works, East Moline in 1976. He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching sports. Don was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Robert.
