Donald R. Johnson, 74, East Moline, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Parkview Terrace, East Moline. A memorial gathering will be at 1PM Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Greenview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, East Moline. A memorial has been set up at Black Hawk State Bank to help care for his wife June. Don was born March 19, 1936 in Prophetstown, IL, the son of Herman and Bertha Housenga Johnson. He married June Peterson on December 3, 1955 in Geneseo, IL. He had worked at the Florence Nursing Home in Marengo, IL and later at the Colona House, East Moline. He enjoyed lawn care, birds, collecting watches and his little dog Levi. Survivors include his wife June, children; Tereasa Green, Janesville, WI, Cheryl Harbeck, Moline and Kevin Johnson, Rock Island, twelve grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and brothers Kenny, Rock Island, Carl, Florida and Dick in Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and a son-in-law.
