Donald F. Suess, 91, Moline, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island, with his family at his bedside. Funeral services are 11 AM Saturday, February 6. 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Moline. Anyone attending will be required to wear face coverings and respect social distancing. Burial will follow at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Don was born on July 12, 1929 in Davenport, IA, the son of Frank and Edna (Johannsen) Suess. He married Beverly Alftine in 1950, she died in 1969. He married Joanne (Burton) Curtis in 1972, she died in 2006. He married Marlowe (Wagner) Angelos on October 11, 2008. He retired in 1990 from Allied Construction, Bettendorf. He was a skilled carpenter who would help his church and friends with any remodeling or repairs. He enjoyed fishing, boating and trips to the family cabin in Bagley, WI. Don loved the outdoors, and made a point of learning the different species of wildlife in his surroundings. Family cruises and the summer he spent in Alaska were memories he cherished. Don loved to dance, and he and Marlowe enjoyed wintering in the Villages for the past several years. He was proud to be a member of the Moline Culture Club and enjoyed watching sports. Don was a devout Christian man who belonged to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Moline and Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL

Survivors include his loving wife Marlowe, daughters, Karen Suess, and Deborah Suess, both of The Villages, FL, step children, Jeff Curtis, Steve Curtis, John (Laura) Angelos and Christine Sheley, ten grandchildren, several nieces and a nephew, brother Kenneth Suess, Santee, CA, sister-in-law, Lynne Suess and many dear friends.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dawn Coleman, brother Roy Suess, sister-in-law Joan Suess and son-in-law Brynn Sheley.
