Private graveside services for Donna "Jeannie" Anderson, 88, of East Moline, IL, will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

Jeannie was born October 16, 1934, in Somerset, PA, the daughter of James and Catherine Letcher Meyers. She married Lawrence "Larry" Anderson September 27, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA. He passed away January 2, 2020. She retired from School District 37 in 2000, after 25 years of service. She loved flower gardening and in 2015 her yard was showcased in the Silvis Garden Walk. She also enjoyed sharing her love of baking with first responders, friends, or anyone she met!

Survivors include her children, Claudia Anderson (fiance, Bryan Young), Davenport, IA, and Gregory (Diane) Anderson, Chillicothe, IL; sister, Sally (Fred) Geyer, PA; and her special friend, Margaret Rowan, Taylor Ridge, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Lawrence Anderson Jr.; sister, Nancy Meyers; and her dog, Lilly.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
