Donna Joanne Reynolds 79, of Moline, IL, passed away on April 12, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Moline, after an extended illness. Private services will be held. Entombment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Donna Joanne Dice was born in Wyandotte, MI, to Donald O. and Dorothy E. Dice. Donna attended schools in Dearborn, MI, South Euclid, OH, Chicago and Glen Ellen, IL. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Liberal Arts, Donna taught in the Decatur, IL, schools as a speech therapist. While at the University of Illinois, Donna was recognized as one of the top freshman students in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She was President of Zeta Phi Eta, a speech honorary, and was a member and treasurer of Alpha Phi sorority. In 1956 she married Douglas W. Reynolds of East Moline, IL, in Waynesboro, VA. While raising her two children, Donna was a Girl Scout Leader at Ridgewood School in East Moline, a member of American University Women, and a Paul Harris Fellow. Donna enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, working cross stitch, doing crossword puzzles, and taking care of their dogs. Donna considered her family her top priority and was an especially supportive and caring wife and mother. She loved going to all of her family's activities. Survivors include her husband, Doug; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sherry Reynolds of Moline; daughter Sherri Hildebrand and her partner Beth Ward of Mackinaw, IL; grandchildren William (Megan) Rogers of Noblesville, IN; Carolyn Rogers of Jacksonville, FL; Alexandra, Jonathan, and Jackson Reynolds; Suni (Michael) Leinart; and great-grandchildren August and Avery Leinart, all of Moline. Both of her parents and infant twin girls have predeceased her. Per Donna's request, private family services will be held with entombment in the family mausoleum.
