Doris Emily Blomgren, 80, East Moline, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. A memorial visitation is 1-3PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Gilda's Club. Doris Souply was born September 24, 1929 in Lovilia, IA, the daughter of Emile and Mary (Holmes) Souply. She married Joseph Blomgren on May 3, 1948 in Munterville, Iowa. She retired as an officer in 1989 from 1st National Bank, Moline. Doris enjoyed playing scrabble, getting together with friends to play cards, and her family. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joe, her children and spouses Nikila and Michael Garman, Phoenix, AZ, William and Karen Blomgren, East Moline and Rich Blomgren, Rock Island. She is preceded in death by her sister Irene Clauser.
