Funeral services for Doris I. Bossarte, 96, East Moline, are 10 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Northcrest Calvary Baptist Church, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to the church where she was a member. Mrs. Bossarte died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at her home. Doris Race was born January 26, 1912 in central Illinois. She married Tom Mabie in 1925. He died in 1972. In 1981 she married Charles Bossarte. He died June 10, 1992. Doris had worked in the culinary department at the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline. Doris loved her Lord and her church. Survivors include son Paul Mabie, Dallas TX, a daughter Dorothy Nichols, East Moline, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a very special nephew Richard Phillips, East Moline.
