Doris J. Byles, 87, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice, Bettendorf. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline or to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice.

Doris Trickett was born on April 19, 1931 in Sublette, IL, the daughter of Edwin and Dorothy (Hinrich) Trickett. She married Ray Zentz on August 1, 1948 in Dixon, IL. He died August 7, 1985. She married William Byles on May 2, 1987 in East Moline. He died January 2, 2017. Doris worked at the Bank of Silvis during the 1980's. She was a member of the Rock Island County Extension, enjoyed doing crafts, and had taught Sunday School at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline, where she was a member.

Survivors include children; Deana White, Golden Valley, AZ, Patti (Steve) Rea, Newton, IA and Jeri (Jerry) Clark, Moline, stepdaughter, Kim (Ken) Nelson, LeClaire, IA, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers; Richard Trickett, Oahu, HI and Edwin Trickett Jr., Newton Falls, OH and half-sister, Linelle Bradfield, Newton Falls.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by stepson Bill Byles and 2 grandchildren.
