Doris B. Galloway, 91, Silvis, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Private family inurnment will be held at Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. There will be no public services or visitation. Memorials may be made to WQPT Public Television, Moline. Doris was born in rural McDonough County, IL. She married Kenneth B. Galloway and he preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement, she and her husband ran Galloway Drug Store in Hamilton, Illinois. Doris loved her family especially her three grandchildren and her 2 great granddaughters. Doris was active in the P.E.O and the TMC auxiliary in Tucson, AZ and loved to play bridge. Survivors include her daughter Dianne (Larry) Hosford, East Moline, grandchildren Kristine (Phil) Cerny, Bradley Hosford, and Breanna Williams, great grandchildren Ruby Rugland and Cora Rugland, and special nieces and nephew Jim and Patricia Bowen and Phyllis Shaw. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Dale, sister Mary Storms and son Kenneth W. Galloway. Doris' family would like to thank the staff at IRC for their care and kindness.
