Doris Jean Lutz, 93, of East Moline, passed away on September 1, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Silvis Methodist Church, Silvis.

Doris J. Lutz was born on January 21, 1932, in Steward, IL, the daughter of Clyde and Clelia (Dean) Mittan.  She attended Grimes Grade School, Steward and Rochelle Township High School, Rochelle, IL.  She was married to Kenneth Phillips Sr. and Robert H. Sisco, both preceded her in death.

Doris later married Robert W. Lutz, on June 17, 1971, in Rochelle, IL.  He passed away December 7, 1999.  Doris was active in the Rock Island Women of the Moose earning the top Degree, the College of Regents.  Also, she had held offices in the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Salon 127-8 & 40.  She was an active member in the Family Campers and RV'ers since 1985 and was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.  She held several offices in the State Association, The Pheasant Runner Chapter.  She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lady Auxillary Post 2992, DesPlaines, IL, and a member of the Silvis Methodist Church.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda Lou Lewis, Freeport, IL; three sons, Wesley Phillips Sr., Coal Valley, Clyde P. Phillips, and Joe (Connie Moenck) Sisco, both of East Moline; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandparents; sister, Marguerite (Robert) Van Hise; son, Kenneth L. Phillips Jr; great grandson, Mark Duff Jr.; great-great grandson, Leon Hall; and special friend, Alan Farlee.
