Funeral services for Doris R. Wilson, 88, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm. Mrs. Wilson died Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Doris was born June 1, 1927, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Reed Vander Beke. She married Harry Wilson, September 24, 1949, at The Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. He died March 8, 2009. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her children, Charles Wilson, Fort Collins, CO, Robert Wilson of Moline, James (Annette) Wilson of Moline, Rebecca (Ed) Burr of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Aaron (Calder) Wilson, Lindsey (Chris) Pinkerton, Justin (Tara) Wilson, Ellen Wilson, Corinne and Ryan Burr, great grandchildren, Asher, Fitch, Louisa, Jay, Jasmine, Kiliegh, and Vada. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Bobby. Memorials may be made to the Monsignor Cleary Endownment Fund or the River Bend Food Pantry.
