Graveside services for Dorothy Arlene Byrd, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 PM Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Byrd died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Dorothy Coverdill was born January 2, 1922 in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Robert and Myrtle Allendar Coverdill. She had worked at the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline. Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Tom) Kespohl, East Moline, Roberta (Bob) Hintz, East Moline, Donna, FL; son, Ron (Cheryl Pelton of Harvest, AL; 12 grandchildren, including Chris (Jackie) Kespohl, Barry (Cheri) Kespohl; granddaughter-in-law, Kim Kespohl; 11 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Dorothy, grandson, Dane Kespohl, sister, Louise Bresson, brothers, Marlin Coverdill, Jim Coverdill, and Bob Coverdill.
