Dorothy Mae Collis, 76, East Moline passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side at 10:05 PM on Saturday, September 1, 2012. Dottie entered the gates of Heaven and was greeted by her mother Villa Kenney, her son Allen Herbert, her brothers Ken, Don, Jim and Rodney Kenney, along with her great-great granddaughter Ariel. She was born on February 19, 1936 in Alexis, IL. Dottie met the man of her dreams, Dave Collis, at Eagle's Grocery store and they married on September 8, 1976. Dottie loved her dogs, crafting and traveling. She is survived by her husband Dave, sons, Victor (Doreen) Herbert, Richard (Sue) Herbert, step-sons, Tom (Aundrea) Collis, and Dave (Kathy) Collis Jr. Together Dorothy and Dave have eleven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services are 1PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
