Dorothy McNeill Laurick, 88, of Moline, went to be with her Heavenly Father from her home on September 16, 2015. Funeral services are 11 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is from 9AM until service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Dorothy was born on July 24, 1927 in Kewanee, IL. She attended schools in Cable and Sherrard. On December 31, 1948, she married Adolph Laurick in East Moline, being together for 66 years. She had worked for Servus Rubber for 5 years, before she became a loving mother and homemaker. Dorothy was such a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was caring and loving to those along the path of life. She liked going dancing with her husband, sewing, and playing the piano and accordion. Dorothy was a member of Elim Covenant Church, Moline for many years. She loved her church family and enjoyed volunteering and attending church functions. Survivors include her husband, daughter Lana Lueth, Moline, grandchildren, Tiffany and Troy Lueth, six great grandchildren, sister, Betty (Bill) McGee, East Moline and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Larry, brothers George and Lester and sister Cleora. The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus for the exceptional love and support they showed to us and our mother, especially Jamie and Rachael.
