Dorothy F. Lester, 82, Silvis, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Dorothy Roeder was born on July 5, 1939 in Moline, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Getty) Roeder. She married John R. Lester on May 21, 1960 in Morrison. He died, September 8, 2009. Dorothy retired from the former Desaulniers Printing Co, Milan. She was an avid quilter.

Survivors include her children; Bill Lester, Milan, Ed (Pam) Lester, Noblesville, IN and Nancy Lessard, Woodhull, IL, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother; David (Nelta) Roeder, Morrison and sister-in-law; Sandy Roeder, Milan.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Milton Roeder and sister; Bernice Fox.
