Dorothy A. Nichols, 89, of Davenport, formerly of Moline, passed away Friday June 7, 2019 at Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment is at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Dorothy was born August 4, 1929 in Moline, a daughter of Thomas and Doris (Race) Mabie. She had previously been married to Charles Collings, Herbert Nichols, and Robert Warnock. She had been a loving housewife and a cook at Adolph's Tacos for many years. She never learned to drive and took the bus everywhere she went. Dorothy greatly enjoyed spending time with family, looking at family pictures and listening to music. Those left to honor her memory include her children: Charles "Chuck" (Sheryl) Collings of TX; Harvey Collings of Davenport, Linda (Bob) Bruce of Davenport, John Collings of Las Vegas, NV, Joyce Wangler of NM; and Patric (Jennifer) Nichols of Davenport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son William, and a daughter in infancy.
