Dorothy Nicholson, 75, of Warren Towers, Silvis, formerly of Green Rock, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. A memorial gathering will be held at Warren Towers 13th Floor Community Room, Silvis at Noon on February 24, 2006. Dorothy was cremated and private family committal services at Greenview Memorial Gardens are scheduled. Memorials may be made to the family. Dorothy Ingwers was born January 11, 1931 in Moline, the daughter of Christian and Irene (Rohweder) Ingwers. She married Ralph Nicholson, November 29, 1956 in Chicago. He died November 22, 1985. Dorothy retired in 1985 from the Labor and Delivery Department of the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline. Survivors include daughters Linnea Faris, Waterford, Mich., and Donna LeGrande, Ottumwa, IA, daughter-in-law Linda Southwick, Lyndon Station, Wis., stepsons Daniel Nicholson, Dubuque, IA, Thomas Nicholson, Virginia, and Jerry Nicholson, Dubuque, seventeen grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sister Shirley Kespohl, Silvis, brother Robert Ingwers, Carbon Cliff, and a special niece Debbie Snave.
