Funeral services for Dorothy A. Stoneburg, 92, of Bettendorf, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Monday, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Stoneburg died Friday, April 17, 2015 at her daughters' home. Dorothy Kinney was born April 30, 1922, in Hoosick Falls, NY, the daughter of Francis and Mary Grennan Kinney. She served as a WAVE in the U. S. Navy during WWII. She married Richard C. Stoneburg in 1950. He died June 15, 1984. She helped her husband run their family business, Stoneburg Electric. She had been caretaker for her 3 sons for over 2 decades. Dorothy had been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had been a lifelong member of St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Muhs and Mary Madsen, Bettendorf; sons, Edward (Beverly) Stoneburg, Surprise, AZ, James (Mary) Stoneburg, Copley, OH, and Donald (Cheryl) Stoneburg, Bowling Green, KY; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; and sister, Mary Barber, Silvis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David, Richard, and Clancy; granddaughter, Jordan Muhs; sisters, Catherine Margaret and Elizabeth; brothers, Francis, James, John and Robert. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or MPS Society (Hunters Syndrome).
