Dorothy M. Theuninck, 82, East Moline, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home. Funeral services are 5PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd,. East Moline. Private family interment will be at a later date. Visitation is from 3PM until service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Dorothy St. John was born February 12, 1934 in Moline, the daughter of Charles and Irene (Walker) St. John. She graduated from Alleman High School. Dorothy married Charles Theuninck on April 24, 1954 in East Moline. He died September 7, 1984. She had worked at the former Moline Public and Franciscan Hospitals and at Forest Hill and Rosewood Nursing Homes. She had also been a hall monitor at United Township High School for 23 years. Survivors include her children, Robert (Lori) Theuninck, Moline, Robin Weimer and Randy Theuninck, both of East Moline, nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and sisters, Pat Freiburg, Silvis and Mary Anne Sodeman, East Moline; and sisters-in-law, Lauretta Scherschel, Middleton, WI and JoAnn Theuninck, East Moline. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles St. John.
