Dorothy A. Hendrickson , 88, of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Silvis Center, Silvis, IL.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9th, at Divine Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Silvis. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.

Dorothy Ann Versluis was born July 19, 1936, in Moline, Illinois, daughter of Edward and Zelma (Cuvele) Versluis. She graduated from United Township High School in 1954. Dorothy and Roger K. Hendrickson were united in marriage on August 24, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2023.

She was employed at Montgomery Ward for many years. Following her retirement, she enjoyed the monthly dinners with fellow former employees from the store.

Dorothy was a member of Divine Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Guadalupe. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, and family trips to their cabin in Minnesota.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Susan Lang, Carbon Cliff, IL, and Tamara (John) DeBisschop, Geneseo, IL; son, Mark (Jessica) Hendrickson, Northfield, MN; grandchildren; Daniel (Jasmine) Carr, Stephen Carr, Emily (Travis) Boyle, Scott Lang, Lisa (Mike) Janes, Heather (Kyle) Patton, Leo (Katherine) DeBisschop, Lucy DeBisschop, Roger Hendrickson, and Lauren Hendrickson; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special cousins, Marilyn (Lloyd) Staab and Theresa (Ron) DeSmet; and other family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; son-in-law, Dennis Lang; parents, Edward and Zelma Versluis; and brother, Donald Versluis.
