Services for Dustin A. Markin, 30, Orion, are 11 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home. Dustin died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center-7th Street, Moline. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Dustin was born July 20, 1977 in Silvis, IL, the son of David and Lawanna (Waggoner) Markin. Dustin had worked as an assembler and as a handy man. He enjoyed fishing and was a gifted wood carver. He took great pleasure in carving gifts for his family members on the holidays. Dustin loved the country life and would always bring a treat for Gus the goat and Dutch the family dog. He truly loved spending time with is 3 nieces and nephew. Survivors include his parents Dave and Lawanna Markin, Lynn Center, sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Keith Gramling, Geneseo, brother and sister-in-law Shawn and Sherry Markin, Galesburg, nieces; Jesika Markin, Nikole Markin and Kaytlyn Gramling and a nephew Brennon Gramling. He is preceded in death by grandparents Ira J and Lois C Waggoner and Donna Mae Markin.
