Dwain R. Skoglund, 86, Moline, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home. Funeral services are 12 Noon on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. A memorial fund has been established. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Dwain was born on November 21, 1927 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Raymond and Martha Campbell Skoglund. He married Evelyn Reveal on November 28, 1947 in East Moline. Dwain served in the US Army during the Occupation post WWII. He was a member of First Baptist Church, East Moline, where he had served as a deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. He had an incredible love for his family. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Evelyn, daughters, Cristie (Kent) Fisher, Naples, FL and Cindy (Jim) DeWulf, Coal Valley, grandchildren, Ryan, Michelle, Brandon, Aaron, and Andy, great-grandchildren, Ryley, Ruby, Deacon, and Rose, brother Marvin (Jolene) Skoglund, Moline, his extended family, church family and wonderful neighbors.
