Dwayne A. Loete , 77, of Silvis, IL, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 in Silvis.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation prior to services from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment with military honors will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. In liew of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Dwayne was born September 4, 1946, in Moline, Illinois, a son of Constant and Veta (Tucker) Loete. He married Brenda L. Grumadas on July 2, 1993 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2024.

Dwayne was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a welder for John Deere, Harvester Works, for over 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and watching drag racing.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Darci and Adam Harlan, Silvis, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Carrie Loete, East Moline, IL; grandchildren, Dillon Loete, Dannica Kaesbauer, and Alexander Loete; siblings, Merle (Melinda) Loete, Colona, IL, Glenda Loete (Tony Bleeker), Galva, IL, and Wyn (Karen) Loete, East Moline, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; and parents, Constant and Veta.
