E. Darlene Kraavi, 73, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, May 14, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Graveside services will be 9:00 Friday at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Darlene Martin was born October 29, 1933 in Albia, IA, the daughter of Ruben and Laura (Richmond) Martin. She had worked for many years as a bartender throughout the area. She had worked in the Geneseo School Cafeteria System and John Deere Harvester, East Moline, where she had been a forklift operator. Surviving are children (spouses): daughter, Kitty (Wayne) Stevers, Port Byron, IL; son, Rick (Lois) VanDeVelde, Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Peter Stevers, Bloomington, IL, Wanetta (Gregory) Tipsword, Davenport, IA, Shawn Stevers, East Moline, William Stevers, Port Byron; step-granddaughter, Melissa Roberts, Barnell, SC; great-granddaughter, Shyann Marie Stevers, KY; step-great-granddaughter, Haley Roberts, SC, Furry grandchildren, Duke and Sugar, TX. The family would like to thank Karen Schropp, Jeff Rist, Mr. and Mrs. Crandal, and Dr. Nancy Short for their caring and loving assistance.
