Edith "Diane" Jackson, 73, Moline, IL passed away on Saturday January 13, 2024 at her home. There will be a visitation from 2-3pm with a memorial service following at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Diane was born on January 21, 1950 to Daniel and Mary (Crandall) Guymon in Blytheville, AR.

After graduating high school, she was united in marriage to Donald McFarland. The couple made their home in the Quad Cities where they raised their two children. Don passed away in 1985.

Diane earned her RN degree from Blackhawk College and started her nursing career in 1993. She worked for St Anthony's for a time and then Friendship Manor until her retirement in 2023.

In 1993, Diane married Gary Jackson and they were together until his passing in 1999.

Diane loved to fish, especially at Loud Thunder. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She survived by her children, David (Tammy) McFarland and Cheryl McFarland; stepchildren, John and Patrick Jackson and Don (Karla) McFarland; Bambi Smith; step-grandson, Luke Smith; sister Juanita (John) Nache; nieces, Sandra (Sharon Welsch) Atkins, Charlotte (Carl) Durham, Linda (Joe) Studer, Gerri (Guy) Larson; and nephews; Jeremy (Ashley Gurley) Storer, Scott (Amber) McFarland, Craig and Ryan McFarland.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Phyllis Atkins; niece, Carla Atkins; nephews, Johnny Ray Atkins; and Randy Truitt; and aunt, Virginia Truitt.
