Funeral services for Eduardo D. "Lalo" Alonso, 17, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:00PM. Eduardo died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus after a brief illness. Memorials may be made to the family. Eduardo was born February 24, 1990 in Acapulco, Mexico, the son of Juan and Susana (Hernandez) Alonso. He was a student at United Township High School, where he was studying to be a welder. His goal was to work for John Deere as a welder. He enjoyed playing soccer and going fishing. Survivors include: his parents Juan and Susana Alonso; sister, Estefani Alonso at home; brother, Ricardo Jose Alonso at home; grandparents, Juan Alonso and Carmen Zalazar of Mexico, Hector and Humbertina Hernadez of Silvis; many aunts uncles and cousins.
