Memorial services for Edward "Ed" Clark, 72, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:30 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Clark died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Genesis, Silvis. Ed was born August 5, 1945, in Moline, IL, the son of Robert and Audrey Giles Clark. He was a 1963 graduate of United Township High School. He married Connie Peters, December 3, 1982, in East Moline. He retired from John Deere Plow Planter in 1998, after 33 years of service. Ed was an avid golfer and bled orange and blue for his beloved Illini. He enjoyed the adventure of travel with his wife and was also famous for his sweet tooth; never passing up Connie's homemade goodies. Most of all, Ed was a man with great love for his family and grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Connie Clark, East Moline; sons, Mickey Clark, Rock Island, IL, Danny Clark, Rock Island; step daughters, Shauna (Todd) Fah, Springville, IA, and Amanda (Doug) Curless, East Moline; grandchildren, Kayla, Gabriella, Elijah, Madisyn, Bailey, Allisyn, Aubrey, and Lily; great grandson, Ryker; sister, Beverly Meyers, East Moline; brothers, Robert (Mary) Swanson, Dewitt, IA, Herb Clark, Rock Island, Jerry (Jeri) Clark, Moline, and Jeff Clark, Davenport; brothers-in-law, Tom (Sharon) Peters, Coal Valley, IL, and Mike (Kim) Peters, Port Byron, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Thom Clark, and brother-in-law, Bob Meyers. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
