Funeral services for Edward A. Coram, 95, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Mr. Coram died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Genesis Hospital, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monsignor Cleary Endowment Fund. Ed was born February 24, 1916 in Wheeling, WV, the son of Charles and Edna (Simon) Coram. He served in the US Army from 1941-1945. He married Beulah M. Gruse October 27, 1945 in Wheeling. She died February 24, 1981. He later married Lillian (VandeWeghe) DeKeyrel June 21, 1986 in East Moline, IL. She died October 16, 2003. He retired from the Rock Island Lines in July of 1977 after 31 ½ years of service. He had been a member of the 50+ Club at St. Anne Parish, a Silvis Senior Citizen, AARP, and the +60 at the UAW, East Moline. Survivors include daughters, Marty (David) Nolin, Albany, IL, Mary Coram Rock Island, IL, Marie Sheraden, East Moline; sons, Edward (Nancy) Coram Jr., East Moline, Phil (Sharon) Coram, Scottsdale, AZ, George Coram, Dewey, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Betty Purpura, Wheeling, WV.
