Funeral services for Edward W. Freymann, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church East Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Mr. Freymann died Thursday, August 04, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Ed was born January 15, 1916 in Blue Grass Township, IA, the son of Richard and Katherine (Jager) Freymann. He married Patricia McMillin August 7, 1937 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Moline, IL. She died December 20, 2001. He had served in the US Army during WWII. He retired in 1971 from the Rock Island Arsenal, after 37 years of service. He had been a long time member and very active in the East Moline American Legion Post 227, East End Bolders Club, AMVETS and the Rock Island County Beverage Association. Ed and Pat loved to dance, and he had been dancing at the Col Ballroom since he was 15 years old. Survivors include: daughter, Sandi Bentley of East Moline, IL; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Geri Freymann of Rock Island, IL, Thomas Freymann of Moline, IL; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
