Funeral services for Edward Matalik, 80, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Matalik died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Parkview Terrace, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, Silvis, IL or to Parkview Terrace. Ed was born November 30, 1928 in Superior, WI, the son of Frank and Caroline Matalik. He married Delores Entler June 22, 1957 in Rock Island, IL. She died June 9, 2005. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, after 30 years of service. Survivors include: brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Pat Matalik of WI;several nieces and nephews including nephew and spouse, Richard and Peggy Matalik of Davenport, IA.
