Funeral services for Edward A. Mickelson, 59, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Union Congregational Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Mickelson died Friday, July 3, 2015, at Genesis-East Campus, Davenport. IA. Ed was born November 12, 1955, in DeWitt, IA, the son of Donald and Ruth Carber Mickelson. He married Cheryl Lynn Powell September 29, 1990, in East Moline. He worked as a security guard at the National Guard Armory, Mt. Joy, IA. He later retired from Lucky Enterprise in 2014, where he had been a cab driver. Ed is a Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed bowling, watching professional wrestling, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Mickelson, East Moline; sister, Robin (Terry) Simpson, Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Gary (Edna) Mickelson, DeWitt, and Raymond (Myra) Mickelson Sr., Dewitt; sister-in-law, Lorraine Mickelson, DeWitt; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard, Donald, Thomas, and Jeffery Mickelson. Memorials may be made to the family.
