Funeral services for Edwin James "Jim" Craig, 65, Moline, are 9 am Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Neponset City Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Craig died Monday, February 14, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Jim was born February 14, 1940 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Maxwell Lyle and Jeanne D (Larson) Craig. He married Rena Curl in 1999. Jim was an over the road truck driver for many years. In earlier years, he served for the Henry County Sheriff Department. Survivors include his wife, Rena, daughter Jeanne Monte, Geneseo, step children LaDonna McNabb and family, East Moline and Brian Montegna and family, Colona, grandchildren Edwin James Craig III and Evine A,nn Monte, sister Mary Chapin, Denison, TX and brothers Richard Craig, Abernathy TX and John Craig, Sachse, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Jessie Craig and a brother Max Craig.
