Funeral services for Edwin "Ed" D. Hall, 85, of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Hall died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo, IL. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight Network. Ed was born April 28, 1928 in Gary, IN, the son of James and Lucille Fine Hall. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He married Darlene Welch August 19, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island. She died September 26, 2011. He retired from Bendix-Litton, Davenport, IA, in 1991, after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Ed had recently been chosen to receive an Honor Flight and enjoyed it greatly. Survivors include daughters, Constance "Connie" (Dale) Arnold, Moline and Terri (George) Bell, St. Paul, MN; sons, Donald (Regina) Hall, Conway, AR and Randy (Barb) Hall, MO; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
