Funeral services for Elaine B. Scott, 87, Moline, are 10AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 3-5PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church or to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan. Elaine died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Elaine DeDoncker was born September 2, 1922 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of Alphonse and Florence (Parry) DeDoncker. She married Roy A. Scott on July 19, 1945 in East Moline. Roy died on May 17, 2003. Elaine had worked as an RN at the former St. Anthony's Hospital, Rock Island and later as a nurse for the late Dr. Carter, of Moline for 43 years. She enjoyed bowling, and going out to eat. After retirement she traveled to many foreign lands. Elaine dearly loved her grandson Christopher who often accompanied her on vacations. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Rosemary and Danny Couchman of Bettendorf, IA, grandson Christopher of Bettendorf and a brother and sister-in-law LeRoy and Florence DeDoncker.
