Elaine Jeannette Wangeline, 84, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Elaine Mulvey was born October 3, 1923 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Maurice and Caroline (Schmidtke) Mulvey. She married Chester Wangeline in 1942. He died March 1, 1996. She had been a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include: children, Kathleen and husband, Ken Carlson of Silvis, IL, Patricia Larmore and special friend Sam of Ankeny, IA, Chester and wife, Beth Wangeline, of Moline, IL, Thomas Wangeline and special friend, Lurene McCoy of Silvis, Kenneth and wife, Donna Wangeline of Milan, IL; daughter-in-law, Lucy Wangeline of Santa Anna, CA; grandchildren, Crystal, Shannon, Sherry, Kenneth, Melissa, Joshua, Samantha, and Patrick; great grandchildren, Jason, Benjamin, Joshua, Victoria, Maxwell, Elizabeth, and Olivia; great great grandchildren, Braylon and Silena; brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Ann Mulvey of Milan; and her good friend and companion, her dog, Muffy. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Rick Wangeline who died in 2004, brother, George Mulvey and half sister, Joyce Ann.
