Eleanor Asp, 92, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Private services will be held at a later date. Eleanor Carlson was born October 21, 1915 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Charles and Lila (Swanson) Carlson. She married Charles "Chuck" Asp July 30, 1937 in Clinton, IA. He died July 16, 2005. In her earlier years she had worked as a beautician. She then worked for the Moline Water Department. After moving to Elgin, IL, she had been a receptionist for Dr. Kugia in Elgin. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Cletus Janusick of Mount Vernon, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Asp of Galena, IL; grandchildren and spouse, Janna Asp of Elgin, IL, C.J. and Karisa Asp of Epworth, IA; great-grandchildren, Cody and Karrington Asp of Epworth, IA; sister, Evelyn Parkhurst of Watseka, IL.
