Funeral services for Eleanor M. Dumolien, 89, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a rosary recited at 1:30 pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Mrs. Dumolien passed away peacefully Saturday April 22, 2017, at her home in Park Vista with her family. Eleanor Lanners was born August 9, 1927, in St. Leo, MN, the daughter of Martin and Wilhemina "Lottie" Bukowski Lanners. She married Alfred J. Dumolien October 25, 1947, in Rock Island, IL. He died June 20, 1998. She had worked at the East Moline State Bank, AMETEK, and George O. Barr School. She was a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan. She loved her family and adored her grand children and great grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as "GG" (great grandma). She enjoyed her social life at Park Vista. Survivors include her children, Dennis (Cathy) Dumolien, Burlington, IA, Sharon Anderson, Naperville, IL, Kay Mundt (Gary Bennett), MO, Curt (Pat) Dumolien, Lisbon, IA, and Ann (John) Richardson, Byron, IL; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and sister, Leona Mumma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Eric Mundt, and sister, Bernice Reeves. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
