Funeral services for Eleazar Gonzalez, 82, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 AM Wednesday February 7, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3 PM. Mr. Gonzalez passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at UnityPoint, Rock Island, IL

Eleazar was born October 24, 1941, in Dr. Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the son of Jesus and Ana Chapa Gonzalez. He married Maria Elena Contreras December 22, 1972, in Dr. Gonzalez. He retired from the former John Deere Foundry, East Moline. Eleazar loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Elena; sons, Eleazar (Alicia) Gonzalez Jr, Rene (Rocio) Gonzalez, Humberto (Veronica) Gonzalez, and Daniel (Gabriela) Gonzalez, all of East Moline; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Ramiro (Olaya) Gonzalez, and Lourdes Chapa, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
