Funeral services for Elizabeth J. "Betty" Valentine, 87, Silvis, are 11:30 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Mrs. Valentine died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the home of her daughter in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where she was a member. Betty Smith was born February 12, 1918 in Stoughton, WI, the daughter of C. Fred and Rose Ann (Maskell) Smith. She married Harold Valentine, May 29, 1936 in East Moline. Harold died June 28, 2001. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Elayne and Gary Lenhart, East Moline, grandson and spouse Allen and Sherry Lenhart, Villa Park, IL and great grandsons, Allen Anthony and Seth Kenneth Lenhart. Her husband, parents, sister Irma LaGrange and brother Wayne Smith precede her in death.
