Funeral services for Elizabeth Ybarra, 57, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Ms. Ybarra died Monday, April 14, 2008 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, IA, surrounded by her family. Memorials may be made for masses or to the American Cancer Society. Elizabeth was born November 16, 1950 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Severina (Garcia) Ybarra. She received her Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University, Normal, IL and her Masters Degree from the University of Arizona. She had been a Research Librarian at Argonne National Lab, Argonne, IL. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and knitting. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include: her father, Joseph Ybarra of Moline; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stephanie and Toby McGriff of Moline, Mary and Larry Wiemers of East Moline, Mary Ann Ybarra of Silvis, IL, Corinne and Richard Lineback of Iowa City, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Kathy Ybarra of East Moline, Larry and Pat Ybarra of Buffalo Grove, IL, Tony and Laura Ybarra of East Moline; several nieces and nephews.
