Ellen E. Smith, 95, Colona, passed away on May 24, 2019 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Funeral services are 10 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Colona Fire Department or the Twin Rivers Little League Ball Club.

Ellen was born on August 11, 1923 in Bismarck, ND. She married Harold Smith on January 8, 1946 in LasVegas, NV. He died November 7, 2005. Ellen worked at Martin Clinical Lab for 15 years. She was a member of Royal Neighbor's, Order of the Eastern Star 626 and the Colona American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her sons; Ken (Ginny) Smith, Glendale Heights, IL and Richard (Linda) Smith, Lakeland, FL, grandchildren; Kristopher, Karie, Katie and Jackie, great-grandchildren; Alex, Julia, Joshua, Kai, T.J., Isaac, Austin and Finn, and a great great-grandchild on the way.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Ronald, a sister and 4 brothers.
