Funeral services for Elsie P. DeDecker, 88, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at the conclusion of the visitation. Mrs. DeDecker died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family. Elsie Vyncke was born June 2, 1921 in East Moline the daughter of Hector and Tillie (Neels) Vyncke. She married Frank Laleman. She later married Ralph "Bud" DeDecker. She had owned and operated Blossom Beauty Hut in East Moline for many years. She had been a longtime member of St. Maryís Catholic Church, East Moline. She loved her family deeply. Her grandkids always put a big smile on her face. She was always excited to gather at family functions. Bingo, playing cards, and watching the Cubs were some of her favorite pastimes. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Fry of Silvis, Sherry and Gary Kelley of Silvis, Pamela and Jamie Curless of Silvis; grandchildren, Eric Fry, Jeff (Lisa) Kelley, Wendy (Jeff) Medley, Gary (Stacy)Kelley Jr., Neal Fry, Cory (Keasha) Kelley, Kim (Jason) Awalt, Doug Curless; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Grace DeMeyer of East Moline, Vivian Versheure of East Moline; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence "Clix" and Terry Vyncke of East Moline; sister-in-law, Pat Hansen of Moline, IL.
