Funeral services for Emma (Longueville) DeKoster, 99, longtime resident of Crosstown Square, Silvis, IL, will be 11:30 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 am Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. (Longueville) DeKoster died Friday, June 14, 2019, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. Emma Glasstetter was born August 24, 1919, in Karlsruhe, Germany, the daughter of William and Bertha Ripp Glasstetter. She met Herman Longueville in Germany during WWII. They later married December 18, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He died July 1, 1970. Emma loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. Survivors include her sons, Bill Longueville, Carbon Cliff, IL, Richard Longueville (Carolyn Barnes), Geneseo, IL, and Joseph (Jill) Longueville, Geneseo; grandchildren, Nicole (Lee) Stone, and Aimee (Joe) Samsel; 8 great grandchildren; special cousin, Helga (Herbert) Lipp, Pfinztal, Germany; sister-in-law, Shirley Longueville, Carbon Cliff. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Gisela Weber; daughter-in-law, Sheila Longueville; brother-in-law, Frank Longueville; and special friend, Lyle Lough. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, or Homewood Evangelical Church, Moline.
