Funeral services for Emma M. Huyten, 86, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Huyten died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to family. Emma Arts was born July 23, 1925 in Belgium, the daughter of Leonard and Agnes Hoeven Arts. She married Mathys "Mike" Huyten June 18, 1949 at St. Martinus Catholic Church, Welten, Holland. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She most recently had been making lap robes for the "old people." Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Mike Huyten, East Moline; sons, William (Nancy) Huyten, Ft Worth, TX, John (Teresa) Huyten, Moline, Martin (Beth) Huyten, East Moline, IL; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Denise Ruskus, Weldon Spring, MO.
